Notes from the Powder Room: Tips from Stylehog's Beauty Editor Malena HarbersMay 8, 2009 - Makeup Gone Wild

When the weather gets warmer your clothes get lighter and so too should your fragrance. At least that’s what we’ve all been taught. But while I’m all for a rotating fragrance wardrobe I think it’s important to forgo stodgy summer/winter rules (after all, white pants managed to break through the Labour Day barrier) and wear what you feel like wearing, regardless of the time of year.

Having a signature scent seems so glamorous and ‘grown up’ but to choose one can actually be quite stressful. And besides, who wants to stick to smelling like roses or lilies for their entire life? There are so many great noses creating fragrances for major fashion houses, independent labels and even celebrities that it’s worth the money and the ensuing mood enhancement to cull a fragrance wardrobe that rotates around your mood, spirit and inclination, again, regardless of what the calendar says.

That said, there are a number of new fragrances out just in time for spring. Wear them now, forever, or simply as your mood allows! Here’s the lowdown: arrow
