When I first received Halle Berry’s eponymous fragrance I easily wrote it off as another celebrity jumping on the perfume bandwagon offering yet another cookie-cutter scent. But I was mistaken. Halle by Halle Berry (EDP 1.7 oz., $35) is actually, well….good.

The press materials describe it as a “modern and sensuous woody oriental capturing Halle’s natural beauty and multi-faceted personality”. But its warm, and somewhat simple mix of bergamot, fig, pear and mimosa is what makes this fragrance a celebrity-backed hit in my books.
