Best Dressed at the 2010 Golden Globes

Despite the wet weather and oversized umbrellas, celebs did their best to strut the red carpet at last night’s slightly damp Golden Globes.  And even though a few dresses were splattered with a raindrop or two, the rainy conditions outside did nothing to spoil the outfits of Hollywood’s best.  In fact, we had a tough time narrowing down our top five picks of the night so we’ve included a few honorable mentions.  Find out what our top five wore, why we loved their choices and who deserved runner up…

1) Drew Barrymore (BEST DRESSED) – Between last year’s Golden Globe gown and this year’s choice, Drew Barrymore really knows how to bring out that old Hollywood glamour.  Her Atelier Versace dress was our favorite dress of the night and we do have to mention that there was a noticeable improvement in her hair this year!  Would it be safe to say she ditched her old hair stylist?

2) Diane Kruger – We admit that at first we didn’t know what to think of Diane Kruger’s hot pink ensemble, but the more we looked, the more we liked!  The ruffles on her Christian Lacroix Haute Couture gown had us intrigued but it was the slight ombre effect that left us over the moon.

3) Anna Paquin – This girl knows how to wear McQueen!  Her sparkling gold Alexander McQueen gown was the showstopper of the night - just don’t ask her to show you her shoes, they were a little too over the top for our taste.

4) Chloë Sevigny – Poor Chloë!  Not only did they spell her name wrong onscreen, she also had her cascading Valentino dress stepped on and ripped by an overzealous usher who escorted her onstage.  Despite these two malfunctions, she still won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress and looked fabulous accepting it!

5) Cameron Diaz – We can’t help but love Cameron Diaz’s red hot Alexander McQueen dress.  The slightly elevated shoulders were to die for as were her perfectly painted classic red lips.

Honorable Mentions – January Jones in Lanvin (because nobody can rock a headband on the red carpet like January), Jennifer Aniston in Valentino (did you see that slit??), Julianne Moore in Balenciaga (we love the off the shoulder look) and Emily Blunt in Dolce & Gabbana (we have a soft spot for pink crepe)
