With so many fashionistas in New York City this week for fashion week, it wasn’t hard to make a list of best-dressed celebrities.  The hard part was narrowing it down to only five.   Should we pick models? Should we pick actresses? Should we pick reality tv stars? Should we pick designers themselves? We just couldn’t decide so we picked some from each category (we’re putting Victoria in the model/designer category since techincally she has done both, remember those Armani underwear ads?) Find out what each of them wore and why they made our list…

1) Kirsten Dunst – We gravitate towards black so naturally Kirsten Dunst’s all black ensemble at the Rodarte after-party made our list.  The outfit itself isn’t too special (or at least we can’t really tell since her overcoat is making it very difficult to clearly distinguish what is underneath), but it’s her hat and her lace-up booties that really caught our eye.  Nice touch Kirsten!

2) Natalie Portman – Natalie also made an appearance at Rodarte’s after-party sporting a sheer shirt dress designed by the sisters.  We like that she wore flats (how cute) and that she topped it off with a basic black cardigan. 

3) Whitney Port (BEST DRESSED) – Miss Port topped our list this week not because her outfit is the most inventive or interesting but because it makes us think of spring!  We like that she wasn’t too scared to wear super tight white denim or a pale pink blazer in the middle of winter (bonus points for wearing a double breasted blazer). 

4) Olivia Palermo – Olivia’s menswear-inspired outfit at the Tibi Fall 2010 show landed her our number four spot.  We love the way she mixed two neutrals, brown and grey, and pulled them together with her giant bib necklace.

5) Victoria Beckham – Even though Posh technically wasn’t wearing this amazing fur wrap at New York Fashion Week (she was taping a segment for the View), we figured we could squeeze her in because she was in town to show her collection on Sunday.
