Brave Brown Bag Studio Sale Helps Second Harvest

It’s that time of year when we like to give back to the community and help out the less fortunate. On the top of our list of causes to support this holiday season are the environment and the homeless. By attending The Brave Brown Bag studio sale in Toronto this weekend we can help both our causes. The Brave Brown Bag (a Canadian company whose bags were recently spotted in Marc Jacobs’ Paris apartment and were selected for the launch of “The Secret Life of Bees” at this year’s TIFF), makes reusable paper paper bags that are remarkably strong, thus cutting down our usage of plastic shopping bags, which Mother Earth would greatly approve of.
By purchasing a Brave Brown Bag at 50% off the regular retail price, they will donate 5% of all proceeds to Second Harvest. Second Harvest is a not-for-profit charity that unlike a food bank, collects perishable food that would otherwise go to waste and distributes it to approximately 250 social service programs in the Metro Toronto area.
If you are in the Toronto area and need some last minute gift ideas or are feeling charitable check out The Brave Brown Bag Studio Sale at 1066 Dundas Street West December 19 & 20 from 10am to 6pm.
