The glitz and glamour were out in full force for the 81st Annual Academy
Awards last night.. From the bling of borrowed jewels to the flashes of camera bulbs
as the reigning king and queen of Hollywood (Brad and Angelina, of course)
made their way down the red carpet.
We saw many leading ladies worthy of
Stylehog.com’s title of Best Dressed, but there can only be one winner.
And the award goes to (drum roll, please)... Penelope Cruz in vintage
Balmain. The cream and gold embroidered dress deserves to be in a museum and will
takes its place in history along with those other memorable dresses from
Oscar winners gone by. Congrats to Penelope on her best dressed title and her win last night for Best Supporting Actress. |

There were many a star in red last night, but Amy Adams in a Carolina Herrera gown and a Fred Leighton statement necklace was our fave. |

Not many ladies can pull off a two-piece on Oscar night, but in Lanvin, Tilda Swinton proved she's no ordinary lady! |
|
BEST METALLIC
While many might disagree, we love that Beyonce (in House of Dereon) choose a print instead of a solid. She even matched Oscar! |
 |

Freida Pinto effortlessly straddled two cultures last
night in a blue lace detailed John Galliano gown |

Nicole Kidman glided on stage to present the award for Best Actress in an ivory L’Wren Scott dress
finished with dozens of delicate feathers. |

Even though we rarely discuss men's fashion, we couldn't resist mentionning Mickey Rourke's John Galliano number. We love it! |
