WEEK OF FEBRUARY 9, 2009: The 51st Grammy Awards With so much drama surrounding last night's 51st Grammy Awards (Chris Brown's felony domestic abuse charge, potential victim Rihanna, last minute performance substitution featuring Al Green, Justin Timberlake and Boys to Men), we were starting to think the red carpet fashions might take a back seat this year. Luckily, we were wrong as stars like Katy Perry shone on the red carpet in a bubblegum pink gown that we went gaga over! The dress, designed by Lebanese designer Basil Soda, was a perfect choice for girly girl Katy and her red sparkly heart clutch (not shown) was the perfect compliment to an outstanding dress. We kind of feel like the whole look was very Valentine's Day themed and we definitely fell in love with it!   BEST ARCHITECTURE We couldn't get over the dimensions, pleats and intricate folds of Jennifer Hudson's RM by Roland Mouret knee-skimming dress. Congrats on her Grammy and her dress!   BEST PASTEL Zooey Deschanel, showing her support for fiance Ben Gibbard ( Death Cab for Cutie), had us thinking spring in this Luella Spring 2009 lilac number.   BEST METALLIC We're only showing you Gwyneth's top half because frankly it's the only part we liked. The Versace metallic mini dress was super hot, but her silver tights and shoes were not!   BEST LBD Duffy showed us how to wear the LBD in this Alberta Ferretti cocktail dress with jeweled neckline that apparently she picked out at the last minute!
