Sometimes fashion takes itself way too seriously, so it is always nice to see the models break loose, get down and boogie, blow kisses, sing and dance their way down the runway. That’s exactly what the celebrity models at The Heart Truth fashion show did. Despite being an event to raise awareness about a very serious subject close to the heart of all women, heart disease, the atmosphere was fun, light, energetic and not to mention extremely fashionable!
The show hosted by The Heart and Stroke Foundation featured Canadian celebrity models including Elaine Lui, Cathy Jones and Sass Jordan who strutted what their mama gave them in red dresses created by Canadian design talent (Greta Constantine, Evan Biddell and Wayne Clark… to name a few). We loved that the show allowed the women to celebrate life and express their own personalities, all the while having the time of their lives dressed spectacularly in red! One of the many highlights of the show came when Marilyn Denis discoed down the runway in a red-hot tux, grabbing male audience members to twirl her down the runway. Now that’s one way to work the crowd!
