Set to hit North American stores on November 20th, 2010, the Lanvin collaboration will surely be one of H&M’s most anticipated collections! With less than 3 months to go, we’re already counting the days until we can get our hands on the Alber Elbaz-designed pieces.

	Canadian blogging wonder and fashion photographer Tommy Ton has focused his lens on Holt Renfrew’s Fall 2010 Footwear collection! From now until Aug 30th, head to Holt’s Bloor Street location in Toronto to view their own exclusive Tommy Ton photo exhibit featuring their hottest fall footwear from Chloe, Fendi, YSL and more.

	MYEXCLOSET.com, an online consignment boutique designed and dedicated to cleansing and replenishing Canada’s trendiest closets, is holding a 2-day pop-up shop in Toronto this weekend. 	Like most women, we spend a significant portion of our pay cheque on shoes but our heels are constantly getting damaged whenever we drive. While pressing our foot on the brake and gas pedal, the back of our heel rubs against the car mat, causing marks and scuffs. 	While Prada officially started the orange makeup trend last season, everyone from Tory Burch to Miu Miu carried it forward for Fall 2010. Since we’re not as bold as the gals at Balenciaga with their orange penciled eyebrows, we’re sticking to tangerine colored lips for fall starting with Dolce and Gabbana’s Classic Cream lipstick in Delicious.

	The new handbag for Fall 2010 is small, square and very Betty Draper. The ladylike box bag was seen at YSL and Louis Vuitton and can already be found at stores like Urban Outfitters and Topshop. Or for the treasure hunters out there, take a peek in your grandma’s closet. Bonus points if the bag also has top handles or is in a luxe skin like alligator or ostrich.

	Shearling is the pelt of choice for Fall 2010. Burberry, Celine, Derek Lam and even Topshop turned their jackets inside out with their own version of the shearling coat for fall. May we suggest going for a leather/shearling combo as seen at Etro and Adam this fall? It’s a great way to mix buttery soft leather with the added warmth of shearling.

	Ditch those pencil skirts and mini skirts ladies - the skirt silhouette for Fall 2010 is the A-line. As seen at Louis Vuitton, Prada, Fendi and more, the A-line skirt offers super definition to the female form, i.e. a super tiny nipped in waist!

	Love the look of cat eye sunglasses on the runway or on Kate Moss but aren’t sure they’re right for you? Now you can try before you buy with Design Your Own Eyewear, a website that allows you to upload a photo of yourself, your friend, or a celebrity look-alike to create the ideal glasses frame, complete with custom lens opening, bridges, horns, lens shades, in a variety of solid colors and patterns like tortoise. It’s a fun way to experiment with glasses without having to feel like a dork trying them on in public!

	Make room in your closets ladies! ALDO is opening up a new concept shoe store this summer. Come August 17th, LOCALE will launch in five locations across Canada (2 in Montreal, 2 in Calgary and 1 in Toronto) and will include shoe brands like DKNY, Tretorn, Hunter, Converse, Nine West, and BCBG plus they’re bringing back an old favorite, Pegabo. Hold onto your wallets ladies! The shoe shopping is about to get out of hand.

	Burberry’s Christopher Bailey is taking a crack at perfecting the English rose with a new line of cosmetics for the brand. Burberry Beauty, a line of 96 pieces in subdued hues, is now available at Holt Renfrew and as Mr. Bailey himself has said, Burberry Beauty will ”enhance women, not just cover up what they perceive as flaws”.

	There are many looks we plan to replicate from Prada’s Fall 2010 runway (ladylike dressing, pointy heels, cat eye glasses) but the easiest and least expensive) look is the knit hairband. Used to slick hair back into a 1960s-inspired lacquered egg-shaped chignon (or bee hive as Style.com calls it), the knit hairband will be around our head all season long.

	Keep your eyes peeled for a camel coat for Fall 2010. Everyone from Max Mara to Michael Kors showed luxe camel for fall and though it’s too early to actually buy a winter jacket just yet, it’s always good to be on the lookout.

	Have you picked up your pair of menswear-inspired loafers yet? As seen on the Fall 2010 runways of Chloe, the structured loafer is the perfect piece to buy now, wear now and carry forward into the autumn months. If you’ve got the dough, try Alexander Wang’s Karmen penny loafers ($445) or go for the original in a pair of Bass Wayfarer loafers ($85)

	Take it down a notch this fall in kitten heel pumps made for the real world. Designers like Stella McCartney, Prada and Marc Jacobs revisited spring’s favorite low heel for Fall 2010 while shoe gods like Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin all did their own take on the kitten heel this season. Topshop has already come out with several adorable pairs starting at $110.

	Beat the heat three ways this summer with Evian’s Mineral Water Spray Travel Trio ($17.50). Keep one at work, one at home and one in your purse for an instant makeup refresher.

	The rucksack is making a comeback thanks to Valentino and Mary Kate Olsen. We love a good rucksack because they are so functional - when riding our bike it’s the perfect bag to use if our wicker basket is already crammed full of stuff. Check out Urban Outfitters’ wide range of canvas, leather and printed rucksacks.

	No matter how many times we wear our new Miu Miu sandals, we still get blisters. To fight unsightly blisters and sores we turn to Blistop ($10.98), a new blister prevention tool. 	Show off your patriotic side this Canada Day with flag gear from Old Navy. At $7.50 a pop for a flag tee and $5 for a fun pair of red flip flops, Old Navy knows what it means to be Canadian!

	Vivid bright colors, fun fabrics and Day-Glo shades are all signs that summer is here. Instead of investing in a new aptly colored wardrobe every July, we turn to our accesories to inject a shot of color into our closet. Neon bangles, color-blocked heels and uber-bright clutches are an affordable way to change up your style for the season. We suggest JJ Winters’ chain clutch in vibrant green ($88) as a good place to start.

	Psst, Gossip Girl here: this August, Nicole by OPI is launching four new nail lacquers inspired by the Gossip Girl gang. With cute names and even cuter colors (Too Rich for You - a jewel toned blue; Scandals, Secrets and Sparkles - a sparkly silver; Party in the Penthouse - a cool, deep blue and Nicole…Spotted - a shimmering green), we can’t wait to dip our nails in colors both Serena and Blair would approve.

	We are all for 2-in-1 products like Schick’s Quattro for Women Trimstyle. This handy razor packs four ultra thin blades on top and a battery-operated bikini trimmer at the base, meaning we can shave and trim with just a flip of the handle.

	Sick of trolling eBay for vintage designer goods only to be outbid by eager shoppers everytime? We’ve turned to sites like Rice and Beans, Shrimpton Couture and Vagabond NYC for our luxury vintage fix. These online shops stock the best vintage designer goods (think Chanel, Valentino, Dior, Pucci…) that you can purchase with the click of a mouse. No more waiting for auctions to end!

	Summertime means barbeques, days at the beach and extra perspiration. For days when we know we’ll be sweating more than usual, we turn to extra strength deodorants like Secret Clinical Strength or Dove Clinical Protection. 	Gap’s Design Edition sandals are back for Spring/Summer 2010 and they are as adorable as ever. Designed by Pierre Hardy for the Gap, their floral bow wedge sandals ($110) are our fave, but if floral isn’t your thing, check out their neutral lace-up wedge sandals, lace-up denim wedge sandals and flat espadrilles.

	It’s here! The day fashionistas and single girls everywhere have been waiting for has finally arrived. Sex and the City 2 hits theatres today so grab your best girlfriends, fight the mobs at the ticket booth and get ready for a 2.5 hour fashion show! And don’t be embarassed to go out for cosmos after - you know Carrie and the gals would do it!

	Brighten up tired looking eyes with a shot of white eye makeup. As seen on the Spring 2010 runways of Donna Karan and Karl Lagerfeld and on the peeps of Rihanna, white eyeliner and eyeshadow can really wake up sleepy eyes with just a simple stroke inside the inner rim, across the top of the lid and on the outside corner. 	Plump up your lashes overnight with the magic of lash enhancers. Swipe L’Oreal’s Lash Boosting Serum on lashes overnight to get noticeably fuller, thicker natural lashes with less lash fall-out when removing makeup. Now that’s what we call a magic wand!

	Signing up for a store’s email newsletter may seem like just another way to fill up your junk mail box, but many of them like Gap and American Apparel come with coupons of 15% off or more just for signing up. We say that’s definitely worth handing out your email address for.

	When going on vacation, always make sure you leave extra room in your suitcase for the treasures you might find while in a foreign land. That way you won’t have to cram your new buys in on your way home and you won’t have to worry about your luggage being overweight at the airport check-in counter.

	Take your perfume on the go this summer. Our favorite perfume brands, like Stella McCartney Stella and Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess, are embracing a solid state of being with potted perfume balms. Not only are the compact and easy to transport, they also double as pendants, complete with their very own chain.

	Whether you choose lilac or lavendar, pastel purple is the eyeshadow shade of Spring 2010. As seen at Versace and Marios Schwab, the new smoky eye is super soft and shimmer-infused in pastel shades like lilac and lavender. Try Urban Decay Stardust eyeshadow in Light Purple ($20).

	Lancome’s cult fave Juicy Tubes lip gloss celebrate their 10th anniversary with the launch of Juicy Tubes 100% Natural Origin, a line of five limited edition lip glosses formulated with honey and shea butter. Plus they come in fun and funky tubes designed by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. We plan to stock up on all five!

	As much as we love summer’s sunny days, our hair may not be so happy. Sunlight can weaken your hair and cause color treatments to fade. Aveda’s Sun Care Kit ($72) includes a hair cleanser, after-sun masque and protective hair veil to shield your hair from UV rays.

	Fringe is where it’s at! Add some attitude to your handbag this spring by choosing a suede or leather purse with some fringe.

	Looking to flash those pearly whites for your next Facebook profile pic? Fake a glossy white smile with a swipe of Vasoline on your teeth (an old beauty pageant trick). Or stick to a lipstick with a blue or lavendar undertone to create the illusion of whiter teeth.

	What’s a girl to do when stranded in Paris due to a volcanic eruption? Trend hunt and window shop! Yes, we are one of the thousands stuck in Europe due to the Iceland volcano (we can imagine worse places to be stranded) so expect a full report on what’s hot in Paris street fashion upon our return to North America later this week (whenever that will be…)!

	New sandals = new blisters! Break in your new sandals before you hit the streets. First, ask the shoe store if they can stretch the leather - some stores have leather stretchers in house. Then, spend a few hours walking around in them indoors at home before you head out (do this while wearing a pair of thick socks). And always be prepared for the worst with a handful of band-aids in your purse when you finally do venture out in your new sandals!

	Thought you didn’t need a makeup finishing spray? Think again! 	MAC Cosmetics is getting into the floral prints this spring with their new Give Me Liberty of London collection. 	We’re halfway through winter and our favorite black leather boots are looking pretty sad. 	We’ve often referred to denim-on-denim as the Canadian Tuxedo, but this spring we’re embracing the trend seen on the runways of Chloe and D&G, so long as it’s done the right way. 	This spring we’re ditching our standard grey, black and purple nail polish in exchange for some easter-egg hues inspired by the Spring 2010 runways of Zac Posen, where pastel pinks reigned supreme; Rag & Bone, where lemony yellows glistened from the models’ nails and of course the man who started the trend last season, Chanel’s jade green nails at their fall collection.

	Combat hair static with a few tricks. Grab a dryer sheet and gently run it over your hair to remove static instantaneously. Or try to prevent static before it starts by applying a deep conditioner after you shampoo (static is caused by dry hair) or weigh your hair down with an extra dollop of styling product, like mousse or gel.

	Food for thought: blueberries aren’t the only beauty-friendly food. Wild salmon is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids and cell-repairing protein which means your skin is more radiant (as well as wrinkle-free). Beans and lentils also should be on your menu because they’re low-glycemic (i.e. your blood sugar remains stable) meaning they prevent blemishes as well as dull, sagging, wrinkled skin.

	Thought bold colored lips were just a fall/winter makeup sensation? Think again. Megawatt lips were all over the Spring2010 runways so go ahead and paint on some color (we’re partial to the violet pouts seen at Bottega Veneta and the tangerine gloss at Prada).
