Habillées Pour L’été 2010 or Dressed Up For Summer 2010

Meet Mademoiselle Agnès.  She’s a famous French fashion journalist with top notch access to today’s hottest designers (think Proenza Schouler, Joseph Altazurra, Jason Wu, Thakoon).  On the Sundance Channel’s newest web series, Habillées Pour L’été 2010 (in English - Dressed Up For Summer 2010), Mlle Agnès trotts off to Paris and New York and hangs out with everyone from Diane Von Furstenberg to Alexander Wang in an attempt to prove that America (and Anna Wintour) is doing much more to foster the talents of young designers than the world’s fashion capital, Paris. Directed by Loïc Prigent, the director of The Day Before series, Habillées Pour L’été 2010 debuts today and we highly, highly recommend reserving an hour out of your day to watch the series.  Not only will you be educated on some of Paris’ best up-and-coming designers (who need as much support as they can get), but you’ll see some amusing footage of what really goes on before and after the shows (like how Anna Wintour has her own personal “flashlight man” who lights the stairs for her when she descends).
