Belted Shorts Belt 'em, cuff 'em, love 'em ... As the spring weather fast approaches (and they say global warming is a bad thing) our minds naturally fast forward to the hot, hot heat of the summer months to come. Days spent outdoors at BBQs, music festivals, or even stuck in traffic in our air condition-free automobiles definitely warrant some weather-appropriate clothing. While shorts were not a new trend to immerge on the runways this season, how they were worn was. Designers used belts how they are intended to be used: held in place by belt loops (what a novel concept). Tops were tucked while hems were cuffed. Yes girls, the tuck is back. The look is classic, preppy and conveniently cool. Who would have thought looking so put-together could require such little effort?
