WHAT: Warm, comfortable, stylish fashion - thought this combo was as rare as a Chanel sample sale? So did we! But thanks to designers like Missoni and Kenzo, we're loading up on chunky comfy knits, super soft snoods and fingerless gloves for Fall 2009. The look is nomad chic - like, what you would pack if instead of backpacking through Australia after graduating university your parents surprise you with plane tickets to the Arctic. It's world traveler meets snowqueen and we couldn't be more exicited to layer on the knits this season.
WHO: The Olsen twins perfected nomad chic back in the early 2000s and since then celebs like Kate Hudson and models like Vlada Roslyakova have been turning to this layered-on look whenever the weather cools down.
BEST BUY: H&M's chunky knit snood is keeping both our head (worn like a hood) and neck (worn like a wraparound scarf) warm this fall. Super long and super soft, we can't wait to snuggle into it when the temperature drops.
TIP: Layer, layer, layer! The nomad look is all about chunky knits, overized sweaters and a ton of warmth so layer it on this fall (bonus: you'll actually be warm when the snow hits!). Play with textures and mix your fur with your flannel, your cable knits with your angoras - anything goes so long as you're covered from head to toe.
