There are certain times in a woman's life when the idea of wearing another skirt or dress is just too unbearable to imagine. Whether you hit the snooze button one too many times and ran out of time to shave your legs or Aunt Flo came to town and you're retaining water like a camel, it's nice to know you've got alternative options to a mini skirt and bare legs! This holiday season, one of our favorite alternatives to the dress is the tuxedo.

While we're usually not into the whole androgyny look, there's something sexy about a woman in a tux and it seems a whole slew of designers and celebs agree! The female tuxedo graced the Fall/Winter 2008 runways of Zac Posen and Armani Prive while creating quite the red carpet statement on celebs like Kate Moss, Katie Holmes and Ashley Olsen. Whether it's an homage to Yves St. Laurent's "Le Smoking" tuxedo suit or these celebs simply couldn't be bothered to pick up a Gilette, we're definitely planning to follow their lead and give our dresses a night off with a classic tuxedo this holiday season.
