Scholastic Style Why should kids get all the back-to-school fun? Back to school time is upon us and what does that mean for Stylehogs long past graduation? Besides shorter days, chillier mornings and slow-moving yellow school buses, not a whole lot. But why should fresh, young schoolgirls and boys be the only ones to indulge in the back-to-school festivities? We remember a time when the day after Labor Day was our favorite day of the year (or at least on par with Christmas). Our pencil case would be well stocked with the latest and the greatest pens, pencils, stickers - anything we could convince our wary mothers to believe was a necessity for straight A's. Our back-to-school outfits would be picked out and laid out at least a week in advance, and then reconsidered the night before as we discovered our best friend was planning to wear the same dress. We hardly slept the night before as our little minds were consumed with who we would sit with at lunch and whether or not we would remember the combination to our locker. Oh, those were the days! With our school days far behind us, it's been quite a while since we felt the same way about September. With this in mind, we feel we owe it to the schoolgirl in all of us to celebrate the beginning of September the only way we know how: Back-to-School shopping!
