Having had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Wesley Badanjak of LOVAS Wesley Badanjak a few months ago at David Dixon’s studio, we were extremely excited to see what he had come up with for his Fall/Winter 2010 collection. Inspired by his grandmother, Wesley created a solid collection of tailored sportswear with an emphasis on wearable and workable daywear. But it was his coats and furs that we truly loved. We’re always happy to find a designer who knows how to take a standard winter coat and make it into something special. Wesley did just that with his winter white double breasted wool jacket that fell to the hips and his charcoal wool topper with an adorable peter pan collar. He excels at crafting posh fur accessoires like his bleached coyote scarf and his elbow length fingerless black raccoon gloves. But what we truly loved was when he showed off his talent for both fur and coats by creating a simply drool-worthy coyote and lambskin “Teresa” jacket. We hope that one wasn’t created just for the runway!
