We’re pretty sure Project Runway alumni Jessica Biffi and Brandon Dwyer are more than happy to shed their Project Runway past and move onto bigger and better and after viewing their Spring 2010 collections back to back last week during LG Fashion Week, it’s quite clear they are already on their way!

After viewing Brandon’s fall collection last March we remarked that it felt like Brandon’s true passion lies in his evening wear and the same can be said for his Spring 2010 collection (photo above right).  While we enjoyed the flouncy knitwear in coral, mint green and white (the striped A-line dresses and body-con numbers were definitely adorable), again it was his evening dresses that had us wanting more.  From the cream bodice dress with the double layer bottom to the prom-like brown metallic puff number, we couldn’t get over both the craftmanship and creativity that went into these pieces.  More importantly the black and white diagonally striped gown with the shimmering bodice that literally tied together the entire collection (it was laced tightly up the back with black ribbon) had us wishing there was more where that came from. Brandon, if you’re reading this, please do more evening wear. You’re a natural!

Jessica Biffi’s Spring 2010 collection (above left) possessed that certain level of energy that sends shivers down our spines.  Her high energy show takes the cake for best music of the week and her retro futuristic collection was fun, wearable and very of the moment.  The funky dayglo and neon color pallette was softened with muted metallics while the stacks of bangles and Popsicle Pete jumpsuits were very Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!  We couldn’t get over the adorable side buns perched high atop the models heads (Spice Girls anyone?) while the gold hooded seperates left to the finale were like the icing on the cake.  We love that Jessica shows girls how to have fun with fashion and it looks like she’s having quite the ball doing so!
