When we heard the news that Lanvin’s own Alber Elbaz was teaming up with one of our favorite denim brands, Acne Jeans, we couldn’t have been more overjoyed.  With Elbaz’s attention to intricate details and all things luxurious, he could possibly take denim to a whole new level with his line for Acne.  However, imagine how our smiles faded when we heard the expected pricepoint of the line. Priced similar to Lanvin’s ready-to-wear line, Elbaz’s Acne line is guaranteed to be a tad over our budget (about $2000 over our budget).  With Elbaz’s denim line scheduled to be released in 2009, let’s hope the looming recession brings down the pricetag in the next year or so.
