As stylists, we’re always on the lookout for the best boutiques the city of Toronto has to offer and we’re especially thrilled when these boutiques offer the best of Canadian design!  Last spring when we were looking for a dress to outfit Josie Dye from Cosmo TV for the Junos, Project Runway alum (and one of our favorite Canadian designers) Lucian Matis introduced us to Magnolia, a jewel of a store located at Avenue and Eglington.  Owner Juan Carlos has a well-edited selection of some of Canada’s best designers including the aforementionned Lucian Matis, David Dixon, Arthur Mendonca, Izzy Camilleri and accessory designer (of horn antler fame) Dandi Maestre.  Nestled in amongst these Canadian treasures are a few of our favorite international brands like DKNY, Hoss Intropia, Designers Remix Collection by Charlotte Eskildsen and Tara Jarmon. 

Last week while attending Magnolia’s party to celebrate Dressing for the Cause, an initiative to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association and the Heart & Stroke Foundation, in between sips of champagne and nibbles of cupcakes Juan let us in on a little secret - Magnolia is now carrying Love Moschino! As if we needed another reason to stop into Magnolia, now we too can feel some love all the way from Italy with Magnolia’s newest designer arriving this November.  We can’t wait!
