Britain’s bad boy of fashion, Alexander McQueen, is expanding his brand to a wider audience. WWD has confirmed the rumours that the designer will design a diffusion line for Target based on his lower-priced label McQ. The collection is set to hit stores March 1 until April 11, 2009. We don’t know the price tag of the collection but it’s said to be inspired by Duke Spirit, a British band whose lead singer, Leila Moss, was McQueen’s muse for the collection. We can expect a muted color palette with accents of bright pinks and blues, studs, mesh, graphics with mermaid tattoo prints. The collection will most definitely showcase McQueen’s penchant of pairing feminine fabrics with tough details. We can’t wait!
