With all the rumours flying around about Christian Lacroix’s financial troubles, it’s pretty easy to believe the following report.  According to Style.com, the models who walked his Fall 2009 Haute Couture collection last week were only paid 50 euro a pop instead of the usual 1300 euro (French law dictates that models must be paid a minimum of 50 euros for walking).  Since M. Lacroix and team put the show together at the last minute and on a shoestring budget, it seems like the models were the only ones who were paid.   Siri Tollerod, Olga Sherer and Heidi Mount all walked for 50 euro, either to show their support for the design legend or to take part in what could have been M. Lacroix last couture show.
