If you still haven’t visited the new Room at the Bay on Queen Street, you have literally run out of excuses.  If the racks of Balmain, Halston, Proenza Schouler and Matthew Williamson haven’t gotten you in the door, maybe this will.  Yabu Pushelberg (the interior design team responsible for transforming the stale St. Regis Room into its new heaven-like state The Room) just won the Retail Design Institute’s prestigious “Store of the Year” award in the 39th annual International Store Design Awards for its work in creating The Room at The Bay.  Yes, that’s right.  Out of all the new store and showroom designs around the world that were completed last year, The Room at The Bay ranked number one.    Still think you need another reason to visit The Bay?  We didn’t think so.
