The lights went down, the music started and tension filled the tent, as all were curious to see if Linda Lundström would bounce back into the Canadian fashion spotlight. Early last year, Linda closed the doors of her Linda Lundström, filing for bankruptcy after 34 years in the fashion biz. Back on her feet and debuting her new line Lundström in the tents at Toronto LG Fashion week, the audience eagerly awaited the Lundström Fall 2009 collection. As the models walked out, there was a resounding sigh with relief, Linda Lundström was back!

Sighs were heard not only from her loyal clientele, who most certainly adored the loose and full pieces including Lundström’s iconic Laparka. But sighs of ooh’s and aah’s could be heard from a new legion of Lundström fans, including ourselves, as we lusted over one shouldered velvet dresses and lace column gowns, not to mention an ivory fur trimmed poncho we’d love to curl up in come (shiver) winter. With such a strong collection to kick off her new label, we hope that Lundström will be around for another 34 years!
