Wicker, wood, straw and linen….four words you’re more likely to read in a furniture catalogue than in a fashion magazine. But for Spring 2010 designers like Bottega Veneta, Donna Karan, Givenchy, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tory Burch, Fendi and many more returned to the elements to produce accessories out of raw materials including rope, raffia, jute and cork.

Sports have never really been our thing. We can barely throw a baseball let alone run a marathon. But fashion, fashion is our thing. So we figure we’ve got a 50% chance of mastering the athletic look for Spring/Summer 2010 inspired by the spring runways of Alexander Wang, Julien Macdonald and Charlotte Ronson. Even though we don’t play very well, at least we can look chic while sitting on the bench!
