Move over Lauren, it’s Whitney’s time to shine. According to US Weekly, MTV announced that Whitney Port of The Hills fame is getting her own spin-off show aptly titledThe City. The show will follow Whitney Port as she makes the bi-coastal move from L.A. to NYC and attempts to make her way in the cut-throat fashion industry, working for fashion legend Diane von Furstenberg (we admit it, we’re uber-jealous).

The Hills is already a style guide for many young fans and hopefully The City will give us a greater variety of cold weather fashion that is lacking from much celeb style. Unfortunately we live in a land where UGGS (however unfashionable they are) serve a practical purpose so we welcome Whitney’s move to a land where temperatures drop below 22 degrees Celcius. Ms. Port, whose fashion sense we already admire will definitely give us some cool weather style that we can emulate as she begins her big city adventure! The City will air on MTV next spring.
