The countdown begins for the biggest fashion event to occur in Toronto all season (unless you count Fashion Fridays on Cityline, we’re addicted!).
For the second season in a row, the Fashion Design Council of Canada (the people behind the show) are not only showing the collections in a big tent in the center of the city (very New York, very Bryant Park), but have also made tickets available to the public. This means more publicity for them and their designers courtesy of bloggers across this fine city.
Showcasing such talented Canadian designers as David Dixon, Pink Tartan, Evan Biddell from Project Runway Canada fame (our fave!), and even Joe Fresh, the Fall 2008 Collections are definitely worth the $20 fee per show.
With this lineup of designers, this year’s fashion week is sure to impress and maybe, just maybe, bring Toronto designers a little closer to the forefront of international fashion.
Support your city’s designers, see a show (and then write about it).
