We love when WWD brings us news that brightens up our Wednesday!  This morning WWD reports that darling designer Zac Posen is doing a lower-priced line for Saks launching spring 2010.  The 60 piece sportswear line, cleverly entitled Z Spoke, starts at an opening price point of only $78 and is fairly strong on seperates including tees, knits, blazers and shorts.  Zac describes the line as “minimalist and utilitarian” but he is clear on what the brand is not. “It’s not Zac-for-less, it’s not the little sister collection at all,” says Posen. “The dresses — that’s something I can do with my eyes closed. This is about a new identity.”
